I thought I would add a non-baseball photographer into the mix. This photo shows Pvt Kenneth C. Whitmore of the U.S. Army at the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. This photo is about the size of a passport photo and shows him on the infield of the athletic stadium with a Japanese newsreel photographer in front of him. I have also attached scans of two of his official Olympic credentials listing him as a photographer for the U.S. Army. I also have his travel orders and equipment list. I collect mostly Olympic photographs (5000+ images). I also try to pick up items related to the photographers including credentials, passes, tickets and the such. I have also acquired an interesting group of photo vests and bibs.

Kenneth had Harold Ramis hair and look ala Ghostbusters in the snapshot.

Wow, that IS cool! Usually you see those "1st pitch" shots from the vantage point of the photogs on the ground. I think that's the first overhead shot like that I've seen. Very neat, and shows just how crowded it could get with all those guys jostling for position at a key moment!

Thank you Scott. The glasses are also pretty close in style. It must be that 'AAArmy Training, Sir!!' I have never seen GB, but he was a good straight man in 'Stripes'.
