This made me laugh because I have felt this way about cards sometimes. I especially like the end when you say you may not want it, but he go ahead and contact me if you want to sell.

All the best,
Sour Grapes Underbidder

p.s. Feel free to email me if you ever want to sell it or trade it.

I think the OP was being Tongue-in-cheek. I am sure he is upset that he didn't win, but based off his winky smile I think he knows that it is just what he said it was "sour grapes"

I took the post as completely tongue in cheek. I've felt the same way many times in the past. You keep plugging in bids saying to yourself "really??!!" "WTF??!!". Hopefully the winning bidder feels as passionately about the card as the OP.

I remember feeling the same way about a T206 Piedmont 350-460 Factory 42 that I thought I was sneaking up on because of the way it was listed on ebay. I felt much better afterwards though when I found out who won it.

I have to say I feel your pain. I recently lost a card I would have Cherished for many years to a reseller. It does not feel good but hopefully another Snodgrass great find will come along for you. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat so true for vintage collectors.

Speaking of the Snodgrass great find I have a bunch of sour grapes over that little S.O.B. I was underbidder in the REA auction lot it was in....and it was the only card in the lot I wanted. Then the dumbass who outbid me turns around and BIN's a thousand dollar card for $150? Really? Sour Sour Sour F'n Grapes.

Bah!!

Alot of interesting action last night in Legendary?!?! Seems I was pushed up on 2 Cleveland schedules from 1913 and 1914. Had to let someone else win the currency lot that was not described that good. Heck, I got pushed up on a bi-fold Michigan fottball postcard...seems like most stuff I bidded on or had higher reserve bids on, had late action that went well past midnight... Strange
