Just my opinion, but I don't like the Martin auto either.

And it very well could be. It doesn't seem to match my 80's A's balls, but there might be a reason for that.

Here are some Billy Martin sweet spot examples. You can definitely tell a difference in the B in Billy and M in Martin.
