I think I have lost 3 of them to Leon alone. I can count a few more, but not many. If you find a stash, I will be happy to take your dupes.

Default Never owned a Western Playground catcher

For me the rarest card I'd go after and have never owned would be a Western Playground catcher card such as a Claude Berry Western Playground.

I've looked, but shockingly I haven't ever seen an 1898-99 National Copper Plate of any of the guys I'm looking for (Wagner, J. Collins, B. Wallace, Flick, or Willis). Yes, I've seen scans online, but that doesn't count!!

Several years back I had a deal lined up for an N173 cabinet of either a Phillies or A's player (can't remember which) for my "Philly" type card collection. It would have been the first N173 that I owned.

Sadly, the seller backed out of the transaction and I am still looking for one to this day.

E221s are one of my favorite type cards. And if I am not mistaking you know where at least one of mine came from? I can't help myself when I see them. I feel like a kid in a candy store!! I just wish they were like $5 or something....

For me definitely E221 - Leon, I'd love one of those Los Angeles examples! Also AWH Caramels.

Hey Leon, you really should set a better example, especially for the newbie collectors of vintage cards who have joined Net 54, and STOP HOARDING very scarce type cards!!
Best,
Val

Leon, I believe once you acquire four examples of a type card, you become a set collector.

Hey Daryl, please don't encourage Leon to become a set collector, especially of a set like the T216 VEs, for I fear that he will become even more of a HOARDER, much to the chagrin of type collectors, like me!

Great cards Leon, as usual

I think it's interesting that they used that^^ image of Jennings on the Tango Eggs Jennings card (which I think I just saw recently in the pick up thread).

I've only owned (as far as pre-war goes) a total of 8 different type cards, so my list for "but never a...." would be waaay to long

Great cards everyone, always a pleasure to see these works of art!!

Sincerely, Clayton
