I've used Goo Gone on SGC slabs to remove the sticker residue, and then followed that up with Windex... and never had an issue with smears.

A little bit of WD-40 on a tissue takes it right off. Then wipe it clean with a dry tissue.
Works great! I use it all the time. |

If you do happen to scratch it a bit, pick up a bottle of Slab-Renew. I don't recall where I even bought it, but it calls itself a "Slab scratch remover and rejuvenator" for coin and card slabs. One bottle goes a long ways.

Also, meant to say that I would use Goo-Gone as well, but for wiping it off, use a very soft cloth such as a lens cleaning cloth or my llittle trick - those little show mitt cloths they give away in hotels. Very soft and scratch-free.

WD40 is what you need to use....lighter fluid is too strong...would ruin the plastic. If you MUST use goo-gone, use the water based formula!!!! Trust me....I have damaged quite a few slabs cleaning them wrong...
