Right now it is -18 with a wind chill of -40 in Wisconsin. Not a good time to be in the mail delivery business.

I just looked at the weather channel and it looks like a low of 23 tonight in New Orleans. That is COLD for down there. Hope you can stay warm, Alex.

Default insulation

Alex,
Please check and make sure the floors were not insulated with uncut sheets on T 205 and T 206 cards.

We're at a balmy 4 degrees here in VA, which is not something we're used to. My redbone hound was not very enthusiastic about going out for his evening walk. Fair enough. I wasn't either.

I live in an old house also. We done a complete remodel that made a huge difference in heating and A/C bills 5 yrs ago. It got up to a balmy -6 here today. Sadly when we gutted the house we never found hoards of T210's and T206's used for insulation.

Hey, you never know. My brother-in-law found this 1922 cartoon in a wall during his renovation in Boston a few years ago.

Luckily I am in San Francisco. It was probably near 60 today and will fall to the 40s tonight.

-50 wind chill today and tomorrow in the Twin Cities. Love it that we had a snow day today and tomorrow. Being a teacher is great.

I had -25 Sunday night in central Wyoming and we supposedly were on the edge of the major cold heading through the midwest and to the east. -45 windchill made me feel like it was Minny-soda

pretty freaking cold in CT 8 with a windchill of -15. in that house in New Orleans you should be looking for hidden doors and crap. back in the days of the war when those houses were built there were always hidden rooms to hide people from the war. did anyone else read that article a couple weeks ago about the guy who decided to go down his heating grate and found a chapel built under his house?

You know the country is in a polar vortex when people in New Orleans are complaining of the cold.

No but it sounds interesting. Where was the article?
