I would guess about 1/100 of 1% of collectors have heard of Net54. It's a secret . Now, if you say what percentage of pre-war collectors, who are internet savvy and always on it, have heard of it......the percentage would be quite a bit higher. Maybe all the way up to 1% .....

LOL, funny Leon. I actually agree as well. It seems like a number of guys that concentrate on the later issue sets to post-War have not heard about Net54. It seems as if the penetration to various collectors is skewed towards the earlier years (ie 1900's to perhaps 1920's). JMO

And with comments like this the auction house spoken about must be quite proud -

"Leon I skimmed through the auction - had I known this was going on I would have raised the bids by at least $1000 - their loss.. "

I am sure their consignors are joyous........

I would imagine the consignors are extremely distraught over the lost bids with stern words directed towards Greg for his lack of efforts. But what can you do….

I told my cousin's husband about it the last two times I saw him. He collects a lot, goes to shows too, but he only collects 60's and up. I see there is some good action on the post-war board and BST section for him. He never joined though, as far as I know.

I was shocked that the owner chasing the Goudey set didn't join. I am almost certain that some of you guys could have helped him with leads.

Probably true. Ironically, when I got back into collecting this is one of the first sites I found.

My grey Cobb Net54 T-shirt opened up quite a few pleasant conversations the last time I visited the Philly Show. Guess this and my interaction with the guys from Heritage Auctions upped my street cred.

Definitely good. Think of it as a self-cleaning feature. That lack of knowledge re: this board helps keep out the scammers, lowlifes and trolls.
