Default My New Years Resolution

My New Years Resolution is to buy very little in the coming year. Over the last two years I have been grabbing a variety of catcher type cards for my collection.

In reality, I really only have a handful of "must have" cards left on my wantlist:

Munson Old Mill Cabinet, 1912 Claude Berry Zeenut, 1912 Ralph Kreitz HRK, Johnny Kling Plow Boy Tobacco cabinet, and my run of Chief Meyers colored S74 silks.

Enjoy the year, collect, move on to 2015. I think I can manage these goals.

I promised my wife I'd take all of 2014 off.

I have a TTM project I've been given the ok for and that should keep me occupied for a month or two.

I've been putting my best effort toward finishing 2013 strong though. It will probably take me all of January to sort out everything that's been purchased over the last week.

Just remember the story of WC Fields and try to apply it to card collecting in 2014.

A friend of WC Fields saw Fields on his deathbed reading the bible. The friend was perplexed and asked Fields, a lifelong Atheist, why he was reading the Bible?

"Looking for loopholes," was Fields response.

Look for the loopholes and Happy New Year.

My monster count is sitting at 79, and my resolution is to get to 100 this year. I also have a resolution to smoke more cigars this year. One is clearly more health than the other, but the other is more addictive.

Good luck with all of your resolutions!

Rich

1- spend less than 2013
2- finally sell some dupes I haven't yet been able to part with
3- don't feel guilty if I fail at 1 and 2
