Extremely good question, I have noticed that as well many times. A recent PSA 5 just sold for $3k, there has got to be some explanation....

This is the first pre-war card I bought. It was back around 1980, when I was 13 years old. I agreed to pay $75 dollars for it but told the seller I would have to have my Mom get the money out of my bank account and bring it back to him.

When my Mom found out how much I paid, she was upset. But since I was mowing grass and it was my own money I was spending, she couldn't do much about it.

The next night, she came home from work with the card. She talked to the guy and got him to take only $50 for it.

Not the rarest or most valuable card in my collection but the one I remember most and the one I woulod probably sell last if I had to sell everything.....

As far as the speck, I don't see it on my card.

It's a printing flaw similar to these two Pastorius cards, and there could be a
quite a few of them.

I had an SGC 70 Tinker Portrait with a minute spec of white on the tip of his nose. Couldn't stand it. Just kept staring at it over and over and over....

Really distracting if you like to look at your cards.

I sold it. Haven't found a replacement yet.
