At that age, I was also obsessed with baseball. To get a gift like this would have blown my mind.

I did the same thing with a not long ago. Sent 5 or 6 beaters to a board members kid.

Thanks for response so far. I just got permission from his mother to give out his address in PMs so will contact those who want to do this. And invite more to join in. Older cards the best and condition no concern. Thanks again.

One of the greatest collecting memories that I have was from when I was 12 years old. I was featured in a hobby newspaper and was quoted as saying that Pee Wee Reese was my favorite baseball player.

A week later a 1950 bowman Pee Wee Reese autographed card appeared in the mail. I always try to pay back that act of kindness.
