I wrote Lou last year after reading his book. The injuries he received in Italy were horrific which made the comeback that much more amazing.

It also spoke very well of Connie Mack and the effort he put out to make sure all the WWII vets got a chance when they returned.

Lous also sent some nice signed cards with his letter, a really nice guy and a hero.
