Most good restoration places will be 75-125 a hour. Depending on how much color touch and piece replacement is needed that rate would be adjusted. Volor touch and fine detailed work is what will cost the most.

Leon

I understand the post that the back restoration was $250. From my experience, a front restoration would be into four figures.

+1.

The restoration price seemed extremely cheap, although corners could have been cut. Let's just say, the best method isn't the cheapest. That thing was a beater to begin with, but if the wrong person works on it, they certainly can ruin it.

Very true. I have it in hand now, hoping it is real.

I'll be taking it to the Chicago Sports Show next week to visit the auction houses, anyone else want to take a peek at it then let me know.

Or if anyone has a blacklight bring it with and we can test it.

Sure looks great in person, and the treatment by the Restoration Co. while not the best does confirm its age, so possession arrow pointing toward the real deal.....unless they were wrong. But again they are Better Business Bureau accredited so you'd think they know what they are talking about.
