MVSNYC, I wanted to ask you what is written on your chair's engraving plate? Unfortunately, I never made it to a game at Yankees Stadium, so I'm not familiar with them. What a great piece of history to own, though!
Jeff, you have some really nice pieces, and I appreciate your sharing them. I think next to the 1933 Goudey cards, the '21 Exhibit card is my favorite Babe Ruth. One thing I am curious about, however, is the lack of a designation for the set by Jefferson Burdick. Whenever I see an Exhibit card in a PSA or SGC slab, there's no catalog identifier. In looking for information about the set, PSA described this as the first set of "arcade cards" released by the Exhibit Supply Company. My understanding is that arcade cards fit in the W category, so why would this set not be included in his cataloging? David, please excuse my jealousy here. Having my absolute favorite Lou Gehrig card is one thing. Having it autographed is quite another. I tip my hat to you, sir. I also like the Ruth, not only because the Bambino has signed it, but the photo itself is great. It's an early example of the classic Yankee pinstripes. I'd love to own it without the signature, even if it were a second generation photo. Rickyy, very nice. As I said before, I really love the Exhibits cards. I just wish that Shoeless Joe Jackson had somehow been included in the set. More, please, everybody!
