I'm ashamed to say, it's just City Storage, which is basically like any Public Storage unit. It is not climate controlled but is indoors at least. I've got a handfull of cards (especially oversized like T202 and/or T3) and signed balls stuffed in the unit with my wife's old couch/shelves and of all things a stand up arcade. I've been meaning to take a dehumidifiers over there, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm almost certain my renters insurance covers the storage, which provides some piece of mind. I've got a few others packed into a locked (very moist) storage unit in my building, which have shown no problems yet.

The back however is certainly different for me. Most of these trade cards are found with blank backs. However, this one has a printed line on the back. It reads: "W.H. Letters & Son, Putnam, Conn." After a bit of research, I found out that Letters and Son was a music store in Putnam Conn in the late 1800s. So, I now know that this particular trade card was given to a retailer to hand out. I thought that was pretty interesting as I previously thought that most of these cards were given out by the front advertiser or local businesses...but this one was given out 300 miles and three states away!

I really do love that Mathewson portrait, and the same picture is in a few of the T202s, my favorite being "Devlin Gets His Man". Thanks to Sean, I'll be reading his "Pitching in a Pinch" starting early next week. I'm sure Matty will jump up on my list as I read it. I'll have a hard time picking between the gold border card, or the triple folder.

Thank you for the compliment, too. I'm still on cloud nine. The Johnson has great eye appeal while showing a little "history", too.

Well, Ian, it's good to know other people utilize storage units for cards. I can't think of any reason why I couldn't just roll a safe up there, and put the t202s in once I get them. I'll just have cards all over the city!

Congratulations, Bryan! Those are some beautiful cards. It's amazing how cards that don't get the great "technical" grades can still be so beautiful.
