Look at his rookie year in 2008 and his minor league stats. Major league pitchers figured him out early and it took him awhile to adjust. Power was always there and while not exactly a young phenom, he's still relatively young. Not much different then a George Foster or Cecil Fielder type. Roger Maris didn't really break out until he was around Chris Davis's age. Baseball history is littered with these guys. |
