Call me crazy, but I prefer unstained. I like natural aging and toning, but I can do without the stains. Judging by the recent onslaught of unstained, high grade 1914's, it seems like the card doctors have gotten pretty good at removing stains. The problem is the fronts always look a bit washed out afterwards.

Thx, Rainier-- easily the luckiest snag in my collecting lifetime. Always hear about such lucky buys but never stumbled onto one myself before. Was actually on the phone with a fellow board member when we both realized what a deal it was-- could not hit the BIN fast enough. Had to double check the transaction went through and was real.
