![]() ![]() My theory is....the Brown HINDU's and the SWEET CAP 150 Factory #649 overprints of the group of 34 subjects (Matty, Johnson, Lajoie, Bresnahan, Griffith, etc.) were printed simultaneously. Furthermore, the 150-series subjects of 34 - Southern Leaguers were also in this printing timeline. In this process, the printer's at American Litho., prior to the above press runs, tested their inks and printing plates......resulting in the brown OLD MILL cards, and the red overprints. I don't think that any of these printer's scrap were ever shipped to Factory #649 to be included in HINDU or SWEET CAPORAL cigarette packs. TED Z |
