There sure were some anomalously high prices paid in that auction; could be some deep pocketed collectors all happened to come to that particular party.
All it ever takes is two to drive a price up way beyond prior levels-- heck an 84D Mattingly PSA 10 hit 1k on ebay a few weeks ago. Seems everywhere we look lately, important cards of legendary players are selling and selling well. Hopefully everyone is tapped from ML so I can pick a few cards off at some other places!
