that had that one restored and wrote about it. I bought mine around the same time from Tom Slater's political gallery warts and all......... Didn't Tik and Tik display a complete box at the national 10 or so years ago?

Man, did I love those phone auctions. Still have the catalogs in all their black-and-white glory.

Having been in this hobby for going on 25 years, IMHO, Darby's are about as tough as tough gets! If you want one, buy in any condition.

I believe I remember seeing a die-cut "Chief" Myers for sale at the National. It was slabbed. May have been another player but it was a Darby.
