The collector is a boardmember & has a very neat project in mind for the stache.

i think it'd be pretty funny if someone destroyed a stash of stashes...or any mass qty of another card. throw some gas on the pile and flame on?! shred them and use them to stuff a beanie baby? send them swimming and just tear them to bits with your hands...so many ways!
whomever owns the cards...can do whatever he/she wants with them... |

and other sordid tales."
Sounds like a great book title. And for the record, I believe it to be unethical to not euthanize every card from the 1990s that you encounter ![]()

Is the board member and project a secret?

If he/she decided to destroy some of "their" cards you could then say that their life was "nasty, brutish and short." The cards that is.

Seriously it seems this whole "project" is shrouded in secrecy.

Granted there is an uber Titus collector that's been documented, but the biggest reason for this crazy rally is the fact we keep talking about it. I feel like there are more and more collectors coming in to the prewar hobby and most go for T206. Then they read about this unique mustache and try to get it early because they see it as a key/cool card to brag about to their friends/spouse when justifying their new hobby when in reality it's just a common. As a result, the majority of incomplete Monsters that get started, have competition over a common just as if it was a HOF Portrait or something. We've giving it rock star status and as a result it's one of the first cards new collectors are competing for rather than just picking it up any old time. I'm glad I got mine before the craziness.
