Default Carlos Zambrano

Not vintage, but I got my Carlos Zambrano no-hitter ticket signed by "Z' at tonight's Mud Hens game. They were hosting the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (AAA affiliate of the Phillies). Zambrano is currently trying to work his way back up to the majors. He shut out the Mud Hens (AAA affiliate of the Tigers) 3-0 last night.

Zambrano was very nice and knocked out about 10 autographs including mine after BP. Zambrano never seems to do paid signings, so this is a nice addition to my collection.

I now have 122 different signed MLB no-hitter tickets in my personal collection.

Nice addition to the no hit collection. Cool to hear that Z's handling his demotion well. Granted he has made $100M; guess I would be cool too

What's the story on why a game between the Cubs and Astros was in Milwaukee?

The series was supposed to be played in Houston, but a hurricane was hitting Texas so they moved the games to Milwaukee.

Dan is absolutely correct! Because of the hurricane, Bud Selig and MLB selected Milwaukee as a "neutral site" for the game to be played, as the Brewers were playing on the road that week.

Because the game venue was changed at the last minute, only computerized tickets were issued to this game. Chicago is pretty close to Milwaukee so quite a few die-hard Cubs fans made the hour trek north to catch the game.

Carlos Zambrano made it worth their while, pitching the most unusual of no-hitters; the first and only no-hitter ever pitched in a neutral stadium...

Mogadishu would have been a more neutral site than Milwaukee.

But then again, I'm a little biased.

Nice pickup.
