I don't see any creases and the corners are decent, so I think it could pull a 5.5.

I think the J. Robinson has a 6 potential. I like the Palmer for an 8. I would see a 4 on the Spahn.

A 4 on the Spahn.....

I've had this card for a very long time and always felt it was very sharp. Not questioning your grading, but can you say what makes it look so low?

I'm posting another scan, this time out of the card holder. I think maybe the card holder was giving it a look of creasing or scratching on the card

Look at the cut pattern on the top border of the Spahn. It "bat wings" at both corners. In other words, the card is higher at each corner than it is in the middle. That tells me its probably been trimmed. If anybody else has a different opinion, please feel free to share.

I see what you're saying. Here's a close up scan of the top back and front.

I'm really not trying to take anyone to task over this, I just don't know what to look for.

I agree with this assessment. This is one of the tell-tale signs of trimming, unfortunately. As for the Robinson - I grade it a 5. I grade the 67 Palmer a 7, but if I had it in my hands I would take a closer look at that top edge and make sure the card measures up. Top edge looks slightly suspicious.

I quickly looked at the top right corner. I would have got this grade wrong this is very subjective, that is provided the card is not trimmed which would make the numerical grades a mute point. I would still say 6 tops on the Spahn and that is my final answer.

Lol, I'll take the 6.
