I know you're looking at an Epson, but I can't say enough about mt Canoscan 9000F. I am in the middle of rescanning my graded card collection. It's awesome!

Was too impatient to get some scans done and grabbed the Epson in stock. It's a huge upgrade from what I was working with, though I am uncertain what, if anything, needs to be done with all the various picture options.
Just did a run-through of my collection and kept the scanner settings at default; it's nice to have in-focus shots, that's for sure.
