Rhett, you have no idea how pleased I was to see another of these threads. Just looking through the cards in my house and I see that my Strunk has the serif C and that I have one each of the Whitteds. My line is missing in the Series of 120 version. Thanks for advancing the science of E121's.

As usual, one of Rhett's posts will send me scurrying to my collection to unearth what else he has discovered there. Great job!
The Joe Wood variation is very interesting...not only is it the only 'F' designation I have seen, but it is also lacking the vertical print line seen on most (if not all) of the issued E121/W575-1 Wood cards. Once again, must scurry to see what in the heck is going on my collection. The E121 series of 80 issue is so rife with printing variations it almost seems like it was a trial run for American Caramel's Series of 120 issue. Of course that is what makes it so interesting to nutcases like us. Thanks for sharing. Brian |

I figured I'd give this a bump so any of the 5 people that care about this set get a chance to see it, then I will let it drift into page 2 oblivion and beyond.

Not a set I collect, but great work.
Have you found more than one version of each? That is my bar for a official variation. Otherwise, it is a printing error.

Ive seen two of the Wood and Whitted cards and one of the above posters confirmed that he also owns the Strunk variation, so that makes at least two of each.

Nice work! I try to pick up an E121 every now and then, if its on the cheap of a nice example. It seems the 80 series are a little more scarce/expensive than the 120s, perhaps why I only have a couples 80s but a handful of 120s.

Need to check my collection but I have only New York teams so probably nothing there.
