All of us here understand or "need" to understand that there are financial considerations involved in this hobby. All cards are eventually re-sold.
Some folks just look at it differently. A Collector doesn't let the potential return on his investment get in the way of his collecting.  An Investor doesn't let collecting get in the way of the potential return on his investment.
