...and here is the same card of Chappie Charles which IS missing the red color pass. Notice the clean reverse.

I purchased this card from my buddy, Chris Brown.

...and then again, we have the issue of too much red ink as is with this Beckley.

This is great info. Thanks everyone for educating me. Who knew there could be so many different ways to collect vintage cards.

I don't mean to derail the thread, but I have a question about missing red ink for other issues (for example the E92 posted below). Why don't these carry the same premium as a T206? I know T206 are more collected and that may drive the price, but they're also more available, unlike the E92.

I think that's the key, T206 is so available that it gets most of the attention. And because people like stuff that's not ordinary any easily spotted variety will get a load of attention. T206 missing colors fall into a special category of uncommon enough to become valuable, but not so uncommon that most people figure they'll never see one let alone be able to afford it.

I follow most sets to some degree, but If you show me a misprinted T206 I'll probably spot the misprint. If you showed just the E92 missing red with no comment, I'd have to look it up to know the red should be there.

Maybe I should check some of my Non-T206s? Never hurts to have an excuse to look at the cards

T206's are cool looking when they are missing colors, well the Chance does look a little sickly, he should eat something...all I got except a low-grade McGinley/orange background that just came in the mail
