I'm sorry about what happened to you at PSA. Overall it's a beautiful card. You sent a nice blow-up scan of the card. Looking at the front of the card, the top edge looks great. I think PSA's complaint is that if you look at the front bottom edge of the card, the left side to the middle of the card looks different than if you look at the card from the middle to the right side of the card. I think PSA has the idea that the bottom edge going to the right side of the card could be altered.

It's easier to see if you use a high pass filter on photoshop, but it looks like somebody used a white marker or something similar on the top edge of the back of the card, in the center, above where it says "- No. 1 -"

Beautiful card, but if it is white-out or something like that then it probably gets an Authentic.

I see what you're seeing but, to me, that looks like paper loss (border chipping).

There is nothing wrong with the card. PSA just missed the boat on this one. GO SGC.

Looks like border chipping to me also. John, if you are in any position to keep the card you should. There is such a nice history with the piece, and memories that go with it when you look at it and have it in your posession. I've had items that I have regretted ( personal memories ) selling and would give anything to get them back.

yes its border chiping or slight edge paper loss not sure how that happened over the years or if it came out of the pack like that. I still think the card should grade a 6 or 7

its probably a sign from gramps up above looking down on me angry that I sold the card. I will be refunding the person and getting it back I will send it to either SGC or BVG and share the grading results here.

Default There are things on back I don't like

Along with one of the edges. I am not referring to the paper loss at the top. Again I'm going off scan and the things I'm seeing I may discount in person. If this card ends up in a holder does not mean the original assessment was not correct. I'd still rather see in person to give a 100% opinion. I would not be shocked if either removed from scrapbook of som sort or had something erased from back. These concerns could be due to the scans settings or glare.

Default Keep it

Perhaps this is a sign that you were meant to keep the card afterall.

I'd personally keep any card my grandfather passed down through the family.
