Whitey Ford 1950 GPC
Got this one in the mail today. I was going to give it to a friend as a gift, but I think i'll hang on to it for awhile!
GPC is postmarked Sept 26, 1950. Whitey won his 9th straight the day before (9/25) and posted his only loss of the season the day after (9/27). Whitey was called up in July of 1950 and was virtually unstoppable posting a record of 9-1 in the regular season... Whitey later sealed the deal for the Yanks over the whiz kids with a 5-2 win in game 4 of the series. Last edited by daves_resale_shop; 05-11-2013 at 08:17 AM.
