great pickups
Todd, love the Ewing cab

I thought it was interesting that the 1891 Jos. Hall N.Y. Giants cab used the same images in the composite as the individual Kensington art studio cabs. Did Jos. Hall buy the images from other studios to make their cabs similar to what Goodwin did to produce the n172-173 sets?
Sorry for the small size. Rusie is 2nd from the right top row

I won this lot of 10 different 1928 W502s http://sports.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleN...ce-dailystatus solely to obtain the Sam Rice card for my player collection. If anyone (the underbidder?) is interested in buying or trading for the other 9 cards, kindly LMK me at ekehl333@aol.com.

I won the 1887 Pelican cabinet. The team had many players who later were featured in the Old Judge set, including Count Campau, Farmer Vaughn, Jumbo Cartwright, and George McVey. The most interesting player, however, was the captain, Abner Powell. Powell invented the tarp to cover the field during rain, certainly an issue in New Orleans. He also came up with the idea of the rain check and organized the first Ladies Day. 1887 was the Pelican's first year in the Southern Association and they won the league championship that year.
