Completed sets: Sell or Keep

I've completed several sets, but never sold one. I just file them away and move on to something else. Someday I will sell them or give them to my kids.

I have no plans to sell any of the sets, I have built. I'm putting them together because I want them and for me at least, it's too much work to put them together just to turn around and sell them. That might change if someone came along & made me an incredible offer on one. Bottom line, I'm an accumulator.

There was a painter and I can't remember his name who used to finish a painting and then destroy it. Very few of his works are still available.

I think I follow this as a completed set is a work of art that takes time and resources but once its finished I am done and want to move on to the next project.

Although my 38 Goudey (PSA 5-7, with Dimaggio as 2 and 3 respectively) was a bit hard to let go, but REA did me a nice profit which took the sting out.

My style is to keep the sets....reminds me of the chase & the how & when I acquired the various key cards. But that is just my style
