No it is not right...but also right at the same time (asked dealer if this is what they are going for and was told yes then came here and was told no multiple times)....you asked for a simple yes or no that does not work in this situation.

Okay, to put this in context, here's the original question that you are responding to, and yes, "a simple yes or no" works absolutely fine. Your deal was with the seller, not with the board, and I think it's also safe to assume that your deal was not contingent on verifying the price with a bunch of people on an internet discussion board. So I'll take "no" to be your response to my question. Thanks - "no" is the response that I believe everyone on this board (except Flavious) would hope you would give.

"So Adrian, just to make sure I'm understanding things correctly: If you and I agreed on a price for a card, you told me that you couldn't pay me for a week and I am agreeable to that, I forego any other possible deals on that card since I KNOW you are going to pay me, then you go on an internet forum to talk about your deal and decide that you've agreed to pay me too much....it's okay for you to back out of the deal, because it's a good business decision?

Just answer 'yes' or 'no' please. As a seller in the above example, that's all I really need to know."

Adrian, I got this one in 2005. It's an Old Mill back, and graded PSA 5.

This is fascinating stuff. Lots of lawyers, dentists and doctors on here I know. Any psychiatrists? Just kidding.

Adrian, I have nothing against you, though I was somewhat taken aback by your apology to Nelson for thinking he was from the USA. You guys can have Justin Bieber back by the way.

Good to hear that you hope to pay off your mortgage. That does show good sense. I don't think of my collectibles as investments. Real Estate, stocks, bonds, mutual funds are investments. So, pay off your mortgage if you can, secure your future including retirement and then spend on what makes you happy. Baseball cards can be part of that. For some folks here, it is a big part.

Again Adrian, I don't know you but you seem to be quite a bit younger than many of us here. You will find that this is a very diverse group. There are members here who make $20,000 a year and others who make that much in a couple of days. Usually, we don't comment on how much we are spending because a) it is nobody's business and most of us know what cards cost anyway and b) it is nobody's business. In this day and age, it is no difficult feat to track down someone from the information they post online. It can be dangerous to let strangers know that you are coming into a lot of money or that valuables are being delivered to you. I wish you the best of luck but caution you to think about being more discreet.
