Default 52 Mantle

You can't stop at one, you need both variations

Al, off-center notwithstanding, that is the nicest Mantle I've seen.

Perfect, thanks Ian. Feel great about it. It still has eye appeal, didn't necessarily buy it for the flip.

You posted this in another thread, I forget what it was...

Needless to say, when I saw this, I laughed as hard as I've laughed in years. It works on oh so many levels.

When I was a little boy, maybe 7 or 8 years old, once in a while my dad would humor me and we would hang out by the player entrance/exit after games at Shea. One day after a Mets/Pirates game (and a Pirates win), Mike LaValliere walked out, and even as a kid I knew who he was. Mind you, it was not because of his prowess on the field, but because of how he looked. I addressed him as Mr. LaValliere and asked him to sign my ball, and he looked me dead in the eye and said he doesn't sign autographs for anyone and just kept walking. Class act.

Mantle was a switch-hitter, so your collection will not be complete until you pick up this variation:

Should have "fixed" the NY emblem on the hat too.

DOH!!!

I'll put that on my project list. But for now I have to go see what else Adrian has purchased since last I checked. Since he's starting new threads for each day's acquisitions, it's tough to stay abreast of things ...

HOW DO I GET OUT OF HERE !?!?!?!

This dude's the exact perfect combination of Peter Chao and Marshall Barkman. He might not bring his cards with him wherever he goes, but you know what he always brings? The NOIZE!

Ryan,

The Chao & Lichtman exchanges were some of my favorite threads! 9,066 Views...I thought I missed something epic going on.
