Cards look legit. Problem is, 1 out of every 5 Craigslist people are either flakes or will flake out on you.
Good luck. |

Shawn---it would apparently not be a total waste if you picked up a couple of McRibs for Jeff .
Good luck to you |

Ha.. no Mcribs for me, and no cards either... But I didn't get mugged either so that's good I guess.
I met the guy and looked at the cards. Honestly, I was very tempted to buy but I held back, cards looked to good. I'm no expert on aged reprints but all cards had near perfect centering and very bright(almost too bright) colors. The 52 bowmans had a dark green tone on the back and the berk ross's looked too good for the age. The only ones that Im pretty sure were authentic were the Aarons and 55 Mays. The Feller looked NM with perfect centering. I told the guy he could get a lot more for these cards as he acted dumbfounded. Very quiet guy not really eager to sell but when I said I would buy his eyes lit up and finally met mine. You guys are right, too many red flags..although they may be real... just had my doubts. told him I would call him mid week to see if he still has them. Need to think and do more research on these cards being reprinted. Plus I got him down to $1000 |

That gut feeling is there for a reason. Keep your cash and don't look back.

-Bought a 59 Gibson and Aaron for $100. Sent Gibson in to PSA and came back a 7. -Bought complete sets from 71, 73, two 75s, multiple 76,77,78,79,80-84 for $300. ExMt or better on all. Multiple near misses similar to this post. Best was a group of 50-53s with five, yes five 53 Bowman Mantles. Seller flaked out overnight and sold cards to a family member. |

Shawn,
Good for you for trusting your instincts...many people would have bought them 'hoping' they were real. |

That would be a helluva score, assuming the cards are all legit, not reprints and not trimmed. But what screams out at me is all those desirable cards . . . why aren't they slabbed to max out on the sale? Or, maybe they were and came back EOT and he cracked them out to sell as raw originals. If it were me, I would keep my $ and keep walking.
