Of my 280-something T206, Rube is my favorite. He is the reason that my Monster Number on Frank's thread is not a whole number. The rest of the guys are quite pedestrian, but Rube has "STYLE"

As always, I will ask. Does anyone have any theory as to what happened to him? Past suggestions have included a scrapbook removal gone very, very wrong and Mr. Waddell throwing himself on a grenade to save his collection-mates. The primary reason I couldn't resist added him to my collection is not that he is this op-art condition, but that even though he is, someone still kept him in their collection all these years.
