I only bathed him for 15 minutes in luke warm water. It still shows glue; should I have let him soak for several hours?

A before and after front comparison. The front cleaned up rather nicely even though I noticed some paper degradation on bottom lower right.

Those dots are very interesting indeed. I don't recall ever noticing that before.

Looks like it resulted in ink or paper loss on the front. Am I wrong?

Hey Craig, nice job removing the paper off of the back !!

Question- was there any type of transfer visible from the back of that card on the paper you soaked off? Fron the last picture, it doesn't look like there is, but you can only see the bottom.

Thanks-

Sincerely, Clayton

Hi Jim-

Looks like a little paper loss but I don't see ink loss. But, my eyes aren't the best and I could be wrong on the ink. I'm just glad to see there was no WST on the back of the removed paper. I wonder how long the card had the paper attached to it?

I think the two dots look to be the same brown ink as the CUBS lettering. A high res scan would be awesome.

Sincerely, Clayton

Default A business plan

I suppose that I could start marketing my pristine Wisconsin well water, which works fine, in environmentally approved plastic containers with an image of Honus Wagner affixed to owners of dirty cardboard. I have no doubt that it would soon become the industry standard. My wife could (wo)man the switchboard. Obviously we wouldn't be able to ship more than 16 oz to residents of New York, but we would be able to offer volume discounts to others, as the product is also a fine thirst quencher. Net54 board members will be given preferential treatment when we go public with the IPO. Finally a retirement job that makes sense, if not cents.

I'd soak it for a day or two, changing the water a few times. I've had better results with hot (not boiling) water when it comes to glue.

Not sure about the two dots. Perhaps from markers or a pen? Looking forward to seeing a larger scan. I think you might have a right side printer's mark on the front as well, but it could be part of a stain.

Overall, nice job on removing the wallpaper; looks better already.
