A total monster at the plate! Played outfield next to Cobb and Jones. I think he holds the record for career triples. Has a terrific interview in/on The Glory Of Their Times. Don't compare him with collecting pitchers, but he'll tell you about them.

Not that the Hall of Fame is the be all end all, but Cobb and Johnson were elected in the first possible year 1936. Crawford, not until 1957. He's not in that top tier that Cobb, Johnson, Mathewson are in.
