Great looking ball, nice condition overall. The Huggins is light but he isn't usually available at that price. Goes to show there still are good buys in the autograph world on eBay to those who put the time in to find them. Congrats.

Great ball, Paul.

Interesting to know, 'Babe' Pinelli's claim to fame was his role in Larsen's perfect game - he was the home plate ump!

Thanks Greg for the info, did not know that, I added it above. And thanks all!!!

I like that it has 2 great HOF New York managers Huggins and Stengel, probably not many of that combo on balls out there, especially since Hug died in '29.
One the manager of what most consider the best team of all time, the '27 Yanks, the other the manager of what many consider the worst team of all time,
the '62 Mets.

I also like the Huggins-Ruppert combo, the 2 men who battled with Ruth on and off the field.

Pipp, the most famous replaced player of all time.

The 1919 Black Sox tie in with Luque, who also played with and managed many great negro leaguers.

And of course Mays and the Ray Chapman beanball incident.

And now from Greg the 1956 Larson Perfecto tie in.

And Ruppert goes into the Hall this summer 2013.

It's a history of the game all on one ball.

Great pickup - the Ruppert on a ball is rare, and now much more in demand.

Keating may purchase at a nice profit from you, if selling is a route youd like to go.
