Sorry. It was when I bought my first pre-war card, a T206 on a whim, a Walter Johnson portrait. About 12 years ago.

I was hooked once I found this site and other collectors to learn from.Before that it was just a hobby to pass the time.

I was hooked about 13-14 yrs ago when I saw the ebay offerings of pre-war cards. I saw how collecting them would be fun and widespread, with so many available. (and also after I bought my first nice card, a T205 Johnson in a PSA 7 holder......from my now, auction partner)
