My wife and I are building a '59 Topps set together...an awesome experience, to say the least

We picked up this high number at a show today.

Have a great month, everyone.

Best Regards,

Eric
Kind of sad that his rookie card is so underrated! he was a star in the late 60s through past the mid 70s one of a short list of left handers to win
20 or more games 4 times in ML Baseball

Default 1959 Topps

This set is a sentimental favorite of mine because it was the first Topps set I finished.

Very neat that you and your wife are building it together Eric. How far along are you ?

I'll keep with the 59 Topps theme...both my brother and I are now going for our own sets...I've got a head start on commons, he has me beat on stars. I bought this today to try and catch up...

Also winding down my 57 set...just picked this card up, what a classic. Just like Mike Cuellar, another under rated rookie card, and a HOF no less. Loving the 57s...

Classic Mantle! Good centering on it, too.

OK...I just noticed...Topps spelled Cuellar wrong on that card!! "Cueller" is not with an "e", but with an "a" at the end...has that ever been noticed??? It isn't mentioned in my checklist/price guide I use...and to make sure I didn't make a second mistake on this thread I wikipedia'd Mike to make sure...UER?

Al,

So sorry that I missed your post.

Wy wife and I are at a relatively paltry 26/572 for '59 Topps; however, have picked up a few decent ones along the way so far.

We are also putting together a '55 Topps set...94/206 on that one.

Have a great weekend.

Best Regards,

Eric

Eric, nice pickups. I really like '59 Topps.

Jason, I was about to say "nice Cecil Cooper rookie".... I'm such a Brewer homer.

"Cool that Carlton Fisk also appears on Coop's rookie".

If the Drapo had an 8 instead of a 6 and the Bell a 7 instead of a 5
it would be easily accepted,, i opened many 52 packs in the early 70s
and i know 1st hand they didn't come much better than those 2,
very nice pick ups.

Picked these up from a fellow board member earlier this week. Yankees, Dodgers, quite a few high numbers...a great lot of mid-grade cards that didn't break the bank

Nearing the halfway point on '55 Topps. This set has been an absolute pleasure to build so far...

Happy collecting, everyone. And have a great weekend.

Best Regards,

Eric

I've had 4 of these since my first game ever in '69. Just picked up this lot of 10 with scarce (I imagine) envelope. Wonder how many more there are...
