And the excuse used by everyone connected to that autograph was that Delahanty could not spell his own name.
He might have been a drunk but I don't think he misspelled his name. If he could not spell his own name then he only did it that one time. (the $30,000 mistake), unless someone else has seen a Delahanty spelled incorrectly.
Dave Zimmerman and Ron Dross got A's in spelling. .

You know that it is much more likely that Bid Ed didn't know how to spell his name than it is that they made a mistake.
