I am now starting to think the reason it shows on the crease so much is because the white paper is showing through that was soaked heavily by the pink somewhere during the printing process (maybe a spill) then when the rest of the plates printed their respective colors it pushed the ink out of the way and printed on top of it this would also explain how it halos the head so well, but crackles on the face area.

So what you are saying is that the card stock was damaged prior to being printed? The pink ink was spilled in the middle of the process and the other colors laid over it? This would have not made it into production or would it? A fine line between scrap and just a card with some extra ink on it. Ones worthless and the other is priceless. Go figure. I am no T205 expert so I will let those guys chime in when they can

I really don't know. Like I said I had conceded that it happened after printing because I only looked at the fact that some of the white where there was paper loss from heavy creasing was now pink. It wasn't until I really looked at the rest of the pattern left by the pink that I realized that it seems impossible for a "spill" to miss certain things they way it just happens to perfectly outline the head. Again, to me it is strange that it would stain the light yellow but not seem to effect the darker yellow (though point sampling in PS does show that there was an alteration made to the color).

Miscut showing the factory number on top, and the bottom of the top card on the front.
