Scott, I remember very well how good it felt when Wilson no-hit them the next day. 1969 was a good year for the 'stros, despite things crumbling at the end.

Thanks Scott! I've often wondered if Don Wilson hadn't died so young if he wouldn't have thrown more no-hitters. He was still in his pitching prime. I'm not sure if you are aware of this Don Wilson Astros factoid:

On September 4, 1974, and what proved to be his last harrah before his untimely death, Don Wilson was replaced by a pinch hitter after pitching eight no-hit innings against Cincinnati at the Astrodome. Mike Cosgrove pitched the ninth inning and gave up a leadoff single to HOF Tony Perez for the only hit as the Reds won 2-1.

What was it about Don Wilson and the Reds?

-He pitched a no-hitter against them on 4-30-69
-He struck out 18 Reds in Cincinnati on 7/14/68
-He threw a 1-hitter with 16 K's on 9/10/68
-He threw a 1-hitter against the Reds on 9/17/71 at HOU

Too weird! Let's just say that Don Wilson knew how to pitch to one very good Cincinnati Reds team....

Picked up this very fragile but beautiful scorecard from 09-23-1895 in which Baltimore won 12-4. The scorer miscounted a run in Baltimore's 8th scoring 3 in which they scored 4. A few notibles in this game.
Here also is a link at the LOC from The Sun(New York) of the boxscore. Interesting to see the style of score keeping then.

Fragile? its in pieces Saw those on Lelands tho. Cool history and w the cost of a complete program from that era, u prob did pretty well.

Not in pieces Scott, but while handling it, very small pieces from the edges fell off. The pages are separated, but the whole scorecard is there.
I am happy about this item.
