Hahahaha gross. Didn't need to hear that, but a good laugh indeed.

And to think yesterday I almost posted a question asking for your top ten all time threads on Net54. This still doesn't top "Archive", but it's pretty funny.

I am not even sure why I feel obligated to waste any more time on this, but I will. First off, I called you a f*cknugget in the other thread and for that I am sorry. That was rather childish of me ..... but not nearly as childish as the stunt you are trying to pull here.

If you didn't know before .... you now know that sports collectors are some of the most analytical people on Earth. The fact that you coyly played this off on the phone with Leon befuddles me. The fact that you regained your posting privileges but have not responded to this silly thread and the accusations made towards you befuddles me. The fact that you have no desire to make your story known befuddles me.

"Your card" can be seen here, in the hands of the present owner.... feel free to fast forward to 4 minutes and 14 seconds into the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcrvKWV0mxQ

Within 2 days after purchasing the "Nun Wagner" Dr. DePace was offered $60,000 more than he initially paid for it and his response was:

“I said, ‘What’s the matter with you guys?’ ” DePace said. “It’s no longer just a baseball card; it’s become a religious relic, a St. Jude of memorabilia. I’m keeping it.”

That info can be found here:
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/01/sp...nted=all&_r=1&

Furthermore, judging by this guys extensive collection, and his intention to open a non-profit museum, I am with belief that he didn't off the card on the side ..... money is no object to this wealthy man and as stated above, he isn't selling it.

So, how about you either come clean and admit you are a really bad scammer ..... or come up with a better story than the one you gave us?

Your words:

here it is guys.
been in the family for a long time, my grandfather picked it up when he was a kid from someone in georgia. We had it authenticated in 2008, he almost auctioned it off in 2010, however he was not satisfied with the price. I dont really like honus wagner, with this in mind Im willing to trade this for some other cards. Other cards Im interested in include 52 topps mantle 51 bowman mantle, 54 dan dee mantle, goudey babe ruth, cracker jack ty cobb, hank aaron rookie and other high end cards. I dont really know what to value this card at since it is so beat up, with that in mind if my trade is way to high let me know.
Im also
thanks
andrew

Maybe time to alert Andrew's local authorities. I know my local sheriff has been asking for help in busting Craigslist frauds and internet frauds in general.

We now also have his face, so we can all avoid him at shows as well.

So sad that someone would try this but I am not surprised. Andrew...get help before you land in prison.

You "gentlemen" have again proven yourselves to be racists. Picking on the young man simply because he is caucasian, and a masterbater. For shame...

A lot of fun is being had here but on a serious note, Andrew needs to really think about what he is doing here. I don't know what the law is where he is from but in New Jersey scamming someone out of $75,000.00 is a second degree crime that carries a presumptive state prison term. He does not look like someone who would survive incarceration.

There is not one person who buys and sells tobacco cards...that does not or would not know the value of or look up the value of a Wagner prior to trying to sell it.

Not long ago he posted 10 t cards for sale.

End of story.

Default Andrew from TN

I actually met Andrew in person and traded with him a couple times in person. He has always been straight with me. I'm not sure if the Wagner thing was just a joke or whatever but the guy is a legit buyer and seller And to whoever posted the pic with him holding the Mona Lisa. AWESome. Funniest thing I've seen on this site yet

It's a joke but he wasn't intending for it to be. He intended/s to rip someone off. Also, either he or the Nun's on national media are telling a story about it's history. I have my money (philosophically speaking) on the Nun's for telling the truth about it. That being said, I understand he has done quite a few good deals with forum members. No one, nor I, can figure out why this whole Wags debacle. It defies logic.

I spoke with him on the phone. He had the same story. I think several other board members have spoken with him and met him in the last several days. Same story.

I have said it before...often con men create a seemingly honest persona (thus the word confidence men...they gain your confidence first) and then go for the big score...I feel that this might be the case.

Isn't that what the guy did on another card forum the other month. Had good deals and sold many items. But then he stole like $20,000 ++ from people one the forum and disappeared.

Well, should we submit him to the "World's Dumbest Criminals?"

The empty hand in the mirror is enough to justify that qualification...

I suppose picking an item that is tracked, whose owner is known, and the provenance of which contradicts the "Con man's" claim is not too brilliant either...
