I have noticed that the Yankees and Mets are the only two teams with 1967 Coca Cola caps made that way, apparently the bottling plant in the New York area had a unique way of manufacturing the caps. Each teams caps were made by the local bottling plant.

Cliff---I have all the 1980 yellow oddities you mention ( although in several the name is not affected), except Cox. Do you have it and if so can you pm me a scan or describe it. Also, I have a Scarberry which seems to be similar to the ones you list

whew, thank you..i already have that Mantle card....I sure hope im not bidding on items you other Mantle buyers are interested in. I have what seems to be a good bunch..but sticking to the cards is tough...theres so much other stuff thats cool to have.

It took me forever to find it. It's on the E* Sheet along with the Fred Stanley, John Wathan, and the Junior Kennedy. I haven't found any variations of the other seven cards in the row yet, maybe the flaw begins with the Ted Cox card.
