Actually, I did read the text of your post before I posted the photo, but your images loaded too late for me to see them until after I posted.

I was incorrect (clearly) in remembering the player as Nichols. My memory wasn't fixed until I cut and pasted the image from wikipedia.

I admit I have the bad habit of skimming through Net54 threads, but will try and correct the error of my hasty ways.

I promise to print out the original Brooklyn CDV thread and read it in the bathtub. Just promise me there is at least one car chase scene.

Dave and I discussed the Brooklyn cdv thread today, and based on his ignorant questions I suggested that he actually start reading threads before posting.

Truth is, he taught me almost everything I know about vintage photography, and I'm the one asking him the questions, not vice-versa.

Default General Stafford

Here is one I grabbed from ebay the other day. I believe Stafford only played for Boston for part of the 1899 season, so I'm guessing this cabinet is circa 1899.

I was watching that. Nice pick up. Chickering photos have great focus and clarity to them.

Thanks.

This card came with another photographer's studio photo that was id'd in pencil as his wife, so I think it's likely from the Stafford estate.
