Default Negro League Pennants

The Stars measures 26" and the others are 24". All have rusty pin holes.
The group of photos, from K. Cole, are really nice to see!

An old 1890's X-Cuban Giant cabinet card that I've had for some time. Unfortunately, he is of yet to be identified. Note how primitive the photo studio is (i.e. backdrop).

Great image of the Cuban Giants player, no idea who it could be though, and I have looked at a lot of turn of the century Cuban Giants photos too.

Default Fort Madison Iowa Prison Base ball Team

Posted this before but,

Here is a hand tinted magic lantern slide of the BIG FOUR baseball team of the Iowa State Penitentiary near Fort Madison. This may be the only image known of the Big Four club? There are a few known Fort Madison Prison baseball photos, but they are in-action shots taken from a long distance. I do think I remember seeing the same Block wall in the back ground of those photos....

I have done some research and can find references to the "Big Four Team" in the Iowa State Reformatory Press 1907-1910. That is how I am dating this magic lantern slide. I believe the Reformatory Press was mostly written by the prisoners.

Phil - Do you know of any 1890's Cuban X-Giant team photos? I've hung on to that cabinet all these years hoping I could one day identify him, but no luck. May have to send him off to an auction house and see if they have any ideas.

I just received this small autograph album today. Has all Brooklyn Bushwick players from 1944, including a fella named Gene Walsh, who was actually Gene Hermanski using an alias. Very interesting to me because I'm a Bushwicks collector, but on a page in the middle of a bunch of unused sheets was this one of the 1944 New York Cubans! Players are:
Rogelio Linares, 1b
Jose Vargas, cf
Gil Garrido, ut
Louis Louden, c
Hector Rodriguez, 3b
Rodolfo Fernandez, p
Dave Barnhill, p
Ameal Brooks, c & lf
Bill Anderson, p
Showboat Thomas, 1b
Claro Duany, lf
