Wow...Tommy Burns was some kind of new age kind of guy, huh! Great stuff...can't wait to see how that piece comes together...be sure to post the finished product.

Thanks Keith for the bat! It does indeed have that unique look and feel for sure! Measure 38" inches long and is pictured above a "normal" game used bat. The bronze figural piece has some weight to it...over 9lbs!

I had tentatively planned a 'Johnson vs Jeffries' piece, which would have been a lot easier, but the Burns letter popped up last month. For anyone who's interested, the Ken Burns film about Johnson is on Netflix - it's over 3 hours long and contains lots of fight footage. Surprisingly clear stuff.
