As tricky as it sounds, I have a collection, and that's my collection. The cards I buy to sell as an investment are something completely different and I don't consider them part of my collection. I just separate the two in my mind.
The way I figure it, i have put thirty years into collecting, learning scarcities, making contacts, etc...if I had done that in stock market I would probably be more successful there. Still, I don't think I will play with more than 5-10% of my investments on cards.
