I'm a semi-retired coin dealer and it's great to see the coins and currency posted. For me, I collect Maude Adams, a turn-of-the-century stage actress. She was America's first Peter Pan and the inspiration for Jane Seymour's time travel movie "Somewhere in Time." But I collect her just because I find her attractive.

You have good taste - to me, Maude Adams was one of the most beautiful celebrities of that period.

Scott - She was a popular actress. They even made a full size solid gold statue of her. Signed cabinets are great. I've seen some sell for hundreds of dollars.
Years ago I attended a book fair where I purchased over 100 turn-of-the-century tobacco actress cards. While thumbing through them, I saw the usual assortment of overweight women in tights or other unusual costumes. Then suddenly this card appeared and I was smitten. |

-Anything Simpsons. I have a complete master collection of Playmates Simpsons line from a few years back. Easily the coolest toys ever. Value is nonexistant except for a handful of figures that are difficult to find.
-Pallisades Muppets line. Nearly a master set but I'm missing one collectors club figure...I can't stand Gonzo and they put out one too many Gonzo figs. So I'm missing that fig and also the ultra rare Kermit and Piggy wedding set. It was a freebie giveaway to the guest at the wedding of one of Palisades VP's and thats the only way you could ever get it. And I'm not forking over $350+ for a figure(was selling at over $900 at one point). Still many of the exclusives were limited to 250-1000 figures and a few of the later items are very difficult to get. So lots of figures or sets that sell currently on ebay in the $50-300 range. Not that I'd ever sell, not to mention that I opened lots of stuff(though not the exclusives or variants). -McFarlane Sportspicks...I love these and probably have 100 or more. ![]() ![]() ![]() Price on these has gone up to where they are now an untenable $15 plus tax at TRU, but fortunately greed is not lost on the dealers at Frank and Sons and so many of them crack case after case looking for that big insert variant score. And they sell off the rest at $8-9 each with no tax. Thrilled to have somewhere local to buy my favorite players as even Dodgers and other hometown teams seem to have no markup. |

Interesting Adam, I too find your ticket collection very interesting. Not that I'm going to start a collection, but what a beautiful gathering of some rare tickets with common theme. Well done.

Historical/Political autographs and memorabilia. Currently own a Napoleon, George III, Trotsky, Gagarin, Neil Armstrong, James Madison, Monroe, Jefferson Davis, and some other autos. Have owned a Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, as well. I'm slowly building a Signers of the Declaration auto collection (currently, I have 5 of the 55..it'll take a while). Also, I just acquired a service testament of Sergeant Major George Wiley of the 1st VA Regiment. He served under Washington at Valley Forge during the winter of 1777 and is an ancestor of mine...I'm proud of that one.
