Default Somebody Said They Wanted It More

There were probably a significant amount of PM's etc. from jackasses that fouled this transaction for you...I'm sorry for you if ithats the case. Maybe Jack A's from this board? You should ask the seller about that IMO...too many T206 collecters with agressive and immature tendancies and a lack of tact to rule this possibility out....just sayin'.

The seller had six negatives in the last six months, and seven in the year. All of these negatives come from different buyers. I think he deserves another. Steve, I hope you end up with the card in the end, but I think this one is destined to go for a lot more next time around.

Best,

Andy

I guess if it shows up on ebay again, we will truly see just how addicted people are to these cards because there is no way I'd bid with this guy knowing what we know now, between the negatives and this transaction. If it goes to an auction house, then I think it will get big bucks(assuming it grades). Maybe it will end up being a blessing that you didn't get it, although it did look legit to me

The seller listed a card, you bid on it and won it. He doesn't honor his end of the deal, cancels the transaction, refunds your money all without notifying you of his intentions. I'm trying to understand why anyone would hesitate leaving a negative. Unless you think there is some chance that he will sell it to you down the road. I think the chances of that happening are slim to none.

Default Otey...

The Otey & Greminger look like someone took the back off of them. I thought blank backs were miscut/handcut, etc. --- These 2 cards look like a a vg card with good rounded corners, etc. - Aren't blank backs suppose to look like this - odd shaped, etc??

- Also, Steve - check with a lawyer on the board, but if you win an auction, pay for it I believe you own the card legally. That is a contract... Perhaps, ebays terms say this as well. (Unless you indicated in some small way that you didn't have interest, etc.) - I do understand you being a bit relieved to get your money back though... The seller definitely got a case of the backoutinskies as interest reached a fever pitch, and he saw gold in the card.

- Let us all know how this shakes out. I would not bid on this card past a nominal amount.

2 cents...

Thats why I don't post many questions pertaining to cards on this forum. The miniute you do all hell breaks loose and theres a fat chance of winning that card. Matter of fact I last time I posted about a specific card on ebay I was outbid by someone off of this board who obviously has more money than I do. 2 weeks later the card in question was up for sale at a price 5-6 times what he won it for in the auction....

Its possible thatsome or all of the t206 guys on this forum who have started the so-called back collecting frenzy messaged the guy while the card was for sale and offered him substantially more $$. you will then see tha card for sale in a few weeks for 10-20 times what it originally sold for, and someone will most likely buy it at that price too.
